They do a $10 buffet at lunch that usually has 2 meats, a pasta, 3 or 4 veggies, salad, bread, and dessert options. Supper is your call fish, chicken, bbq, steaks, and I have never had anything there that wasn't good. Servers are good also and doing their best but they are down a few workers currently.
What a very pleasant surprise!! While in town we order carry out as it seemed to be the perfect weather for having dinner outdoors. My friend suggested these restaurant as she is local and familiar. My role was going for pick up.......first thing I notice the parking lot was packed and before I could park finish parking several "to go" orders where leaving the building.......now it gets good- When I entered the building I found it to be very spacious and cute. The girl at the register was checking folks at and she had very intentional conversations with them regarding there meal choice and their visit ....it was a breath of fresh air to see an employee of a busy business show interest in the customers. While observing the process taking place notice that even though the parking lot was packed for indoor seating seemed to be very spacious and comfortable for those dining in. Not long after being there I was greeted and ask how they could help me, when I told him I'd carry out immediately they went for the bag the young lady got my ticket and asked for a signature is a grab the bag and walked out he did not have great hopes that everything would be in the bag because the place was so busy as it came back that dinner we discovered there was nothing missing there was plenty of everything of the extras that go with baked potato and the other meal items. The meal was very good -hamburger/bake potato, catfish, hush p's, green beans, sweet potato- and was enjoyed by each of us. Will visit again on my next trip in town!! Sorry no photos this time we dug right into the meal!!
Decided to try this place out after work tonight. They had several nightly specials including country fried steak and shrimp alfredo pasta, but I decided to opt for the regular catfish plate. The fish here has good seasoning, the fries were decent, the mac and cheese was really good, and the hush puppies were excellent. I don't think you can go wrong getting that meal. The regular fish plate was (4) fillets and I'm plenty full. They have a large and small plate as well. I don't remember the size of the small but the large was (6) pieces. They also have several other random meals, steak, and BBQ, but I gather that everyone comes here for the fish, but I could be wrong. Get the fish though and I don't think you'll leave hungry or disappointed.
We drove from Idaho to Jacksonville, FL in 4 days making sure we traveled through as many states as possible. We also tried to experience something each state had to offer even if only briefly. While in Mississippi we stopped for dinner to get fried catfish and BBQ. Taylor's Escape was better than we expected. I was hoping my experience would be like I see in the movies, and it was! The staff had southern accents and our waiter, Jake, was delightful. The food we were served was DELICIOUS. We were impressed and thrilled. I wish Taylor's served fried green tomatoes or okra, but the southern style coleslaw was the best I've ever had. I don't care for bread but the rolls could convert me. If you ever get a chance to eat in Corinth, Mississippi you must try Taylor's Escape.
Stopped in wanting fish ordered 4 whole fish plate. Everything was cooked perfectly and all of it tasted excellent.
